PIA

The Personal Investment Authority (PIA) is a self-regulating body overseeing investment activities on behalf of private investors such as personal pensions and unit trusts. In 1994, the PIA assumed many of the responsibilities of FIMBRA (Financial Intermediaries, Managers and Brokers Regulatory Association Ltd), LAUTRO (Life Assurance and Unit Trust Regulatory Organization), and several from IMRO (Investment Management Regulatory Organization).
